Jack Toland - Triathlete

About Me

I am a 22-year-old amateur endurance triathlete focused on non-draft short course triathlon. I began competitive sailing when I was 6-years-old, but despite success in sailing found the sport of triathlon in high-school and moved into the endurance sports world. I quickly found my stride and won the U20 Sprint and Olympic Distance World Championships at the Edmonton Grand Final in 2015 and the U20 Olympic Distance World Championships in Chicago in 2016.

I now attend the University of Colorado Boulder, studying Aerospace Engineering and competing for the University of Colorado Triathlon team. While the past 3 years have seen a focus on academics, triathlon is back on the main burner and 2019 and 2020 are shaping up to exciting racing seasons.

When time allows I enjoy competing in local road races, ski-mountaineering events, and exploring the trails and high alpine. To explore some of my triathlon and endurance-related adventures, please check out my Instagram: @JTolandTRI.
